• Soumya K.R cleared CSIR-JRF NET examination and joined Hyderabad Central University for Ph.D.
• Jisna Vrghese and Shilpa Jose cleared the Pondicherry University entrance exam for Ph.D and have joined the university as research scholars.
• Gopika S Madhu, Amritha P. Sandra, Parvathy P.A., Rineesha N Basheer (I B.Sc. Chemistry) were the recipients of KSCTE Pratibha Scholarship
• Gopika S Madhu, Amritha P. Sandra, Parvathy P.A., Rineesha N Basheer (II B.Sc. Chemistry) were short listed for the DST-Inspire fellowship in Dec 2015.
• Manuraj .K (II Msc. Chemistry) received second prize for All Kerala intercollegiate power point presentation held at Devamatha College Kuruvilangadu , Kottayam 30^th Sep 2016.

Academic  seminars/ conferences and other details of extension programmes conceived/ executed

• T. Anatharaman Memorial & Dr. A.M. Chacko endowment seminars were conducted on 2^2nd January 2016. Prof. Dr. A.G. Ramachandran Nair, Former Head, Dept. of Chemistry,  Jawaharlal Institute and Pondicherry University  delivered a talk on  “Explanation of a few selected natural phenomena” during the forenoon session followed by a talk on “Fuel Cells: Theory and Technology “ by  Dr. Jorphin Joseph, Assistant Professor, Sacred Heart College, Thevara.
• Inter school Chemistry Quiz competition was conducted on 3ot^h Jan 2016. from St. Patrick Academy, Angamaly were the winners of the competition. Second prize was awarded to Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal team.
• P.V. Joseph, Associate Professor, Maharajas College, Ernakulam conducted  a One day Career Guidance Workshop for V semester B.Sc. Chemistry Students in July 2015.
• Oommen Mathew, Founder Regional Direstor of the Institute of Management in Government, Cochin conducted Orientation Program for I semester B.Sc. Chemistry Students in July 2015.
• Chemistry Association Inauguration for the academic year 2016-2017 was  held on 28^thAugust 2016 at 3:30 PM at  VMA  Hall.
