Dr. A M Chacko Memorial Lecture 2022-23
The Department of chemistry organized the A. M. Chacko Memorial Lecture on 7th February 2023; 2.30 PM at MBA seminar Hall, Union Christian College, Aluva. The program begun with a prayer song, followed by the welcome note given by Head of the chemistry department Ms. Minu Joyes. Principal Prof. M I Punnoose presided over the function. Dr. Simi Pushpan K introduced the distinguished speaker Dr. A. Srinivasan, Professor, School Of Chemical Sciences, NISER Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He addressed the students gathering with his exceptional teaching skills and detailed the various” Metals used in Medicine and Therapy” as well as methods used to identify them in human body. Both the PG and UG students where benefited from the lecture as it was more oriented towards their syllabi at the same time focused towards the application of the class room theories in a practical way. Students interacted with the speaker in an enthusiastic way related to the topic of the lecture as well as the existing general trends in chemistry research.
