Sasthrajaalakam 2018

Public Education Department under the guidance of State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET), Kerala is conducting a state level program called “SASTHRA JAALAKAM” for school students in order to inculcate scientific temper and to increase their proficiency in scientific knowledge. U.C.College, Aluva is one of the selected centres in Ernakulam district for conducting the prestigious program“SASTHRA JAALAKAM” the year 2018. Students from government and aided schools who are studying in 9th standard and those who have interest in science have been selected for this program. The program schedule was a span of three days, namely 30th Nov-2nd Dec, 2018. Lectures and demonstrations based on various topics in physics, chemistry and life sciences will be conducted by the experts in this area during this workshop.

One day Seminar on Exploration to Entrepreneurship in Chemical Sciences

Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM, formerly known as Technopark TBI) is the nodal agency of Government of Kerala for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in Kerala. The primary objectives of KSUM was to undertake the planning, establishment, and management of Technology Business Incubators/Accelerators in Kerala so as to promote technology based entrepreneurship activities and create the infrastructure and environment required for promoting high technology based business activities.

KSUM – IEDC collaborates with Department of Chemistry, U. C. College, Aluva with an objective to strengthen the entrepreneurship development activities of students, promoting knowledge driven campus partnerships to promote entrepreneurship. We at U. C. College believe in “turning science into business” by exploring such inspiring events like a one day seminar comprising of knowledge sharing by eminent personalities and useful interactive session with our multitalented student community who holds a treasure of ideas and opportunities in building up a self sufficient India.

Ozone Day Celebrations 2018

യു. സി കോളേജിൽ ഓസോൺ ദിനാഘോഷങ്ങൾ നടത്തി

ആലുവ : കേരള ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക പരിസ്ഥിതി കൗൺസിലിന്റെ ധനസഹായത്തോടെ ആലുവ യുണിയൻ ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ കോളേജിൽ രസതന്ത്രവിഭാഗം ഓസോൺ ദിനാഘോഷങ്ങൾ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. കാഞിരപ്പിള്ളി അമൽ ജ്യോതി എഞ്ചിനീയറിംങ്ങ് കോളേജിലെ ഡീൻ ഡോ.  സോണി സി ജോർജ് ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ ഉത്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യുകയും തുടർന്ന് ഓസോൺ ദിനത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യത്തെ കുറിച്ച് ക്ലാസ് എടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. പ്രസ്തുത പരിപാടിയിൽ കോളേജ് പ്രിൻസിപ്പാൽ ഡോ. താര കെ സൈമൺ, രസതന്ത്ര വിഭാഗം മേധാവി ഡോ. ജെനീഷ് പോൾ, കോ ഓർഡിനേറ്റർ ഡോ. നെൽസൺ ജോസഫ് പി എന്നിവർ സംസാരിച്ചു. ഇതിനോടൊപ്പം പ്രസംഗ മത്സരവും, പോസ്റ്റർ ഡിസൈനിങ്ങ് മത്സരവും, ക്വിസ് മത്സരവും സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു.

World Environment Day Celebrations -June 8 and 10, 2018

8^th June 2018: Dr. Anu Gopinath, Assistant Professor, Chemical Oceanography, Department of Aquatic Environment Management, KUFOS, has delivered a talk on “Impact of Plastic Pollution on Environment” and Dr. V.S. Vijayan, Chairman, Salim Ali Foundation delivered a talk on “Development, Waste Generation and Environmental Consequences” as part of World Environment Day (WED) celebrations jointly organized by Chemistry and Zoology departments of U.C. College, Aluva supported by Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment.
